Tire Aspect Ratio Calculation Formula

The formula is actually quite simple: divide the tire’s height by its width, and then multiply by 100 to get the percentage.

For example, if you have a tire with a width of 225 millimeters and a height of 101.25 millimeters, the calculation would be:

101.25 ÷ 225 × 100 = 45

And there you have it – the tire’s aspect ratio is 45%.
