Vineyard Density = (43,560 / Row Spacing) x Vine Spacing


Let me break that down for you. 43,560 is the number of square feet in an acre.

So we’re essentially dividing that by the spacing between the rows (in feet) to get the number of rows per acre.

Then, we multiply that by the spacing between the vines (also in feet) to get the number of vines per row. The product of these two numbers gives us the vineyard density in vines per acre.
