Vineyard spacing = (Row spacing x Vine spacing) / Vine density

In this equation, row spacing refers to the distance between each row of vines, vine spacing refers to the distance between each individual vine within a row, and vine density refers to the number of vines per acre.

For example, let’s say you have a vineyard that is 4 acres in size and you plan to plant 1,000 vines per acre. You also want to use a row spacing of 8 feet and a vine spacing of 5 feet. To calculate your vineyard spacing, you would plug these numbers into the equation:

Vineyard spacing = (8 feet x 5 feet) / 1,000 vines per acre
Vineyard spacing = 0.04 acres/vine

This means that each vine in your vineyard will have approximately 0.04 acres of land, which is roughly equivalent to 1,742 square feet.
